Rosgeologia will conduct the first geological exploration in the history of South Sudan. The Ambassador of the African country in Moscow, Chol Tong Mayai Jang, said this in an interview with TASS.
According to the diplomat, Rosgeologiya has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Mining of South Sudan. It involves detailed mapping of the natural resources of an African state. The ambassador noted that South Sudan has large reserves of natural resources, but does not have more or less accurate information about their quantity, since geological exploration has not been carried out in the country before.
At the same time, the diplomat emphasized that Rosgeology began work in Sudan when it was still a single country, not divided in two. And the company has certain starting information about resources.
According to the contract, geological exploration and mapping of South Sudan was to be carried out within a two-year period.
