Sources said when referendums can be held in the liberated territories of Ukraine

According to Vedomosti, citing sources close to the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, referendums on joining Russia in the territories of Ukraine, where a special military operation is taking place, will not be combined with the Single Voting Day, which will be held on September 11.
Some interlocutors explained to the publication that this is due to the fact that Russian troops have not yet occupied the entire territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Thus, the timing of the referenda depends on the success of the Russian army in the east and south of Ukraine.
Earlier, the head of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeny Balitsky, noted that a referendum on the region’s entry into Russia could be held on September 11. At the moment, this region, like Kherson, is almost completely under the control of the Russian military. At the same time, the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, emphasized that holding referendums is possible only when the DPR is completely liberated.
