British Prime Minister Boris Johnson flew to Kyiv on the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, and also announced a new financial assistance package, informs government website.

Johnson said the new aid package for Ukraine included 200 state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and munitions worth £54m (nearly $63.7m). Also, the British Prime Minister promised to donate 850 manually launched Black Hornet microdrones, which are designed for use in cities and villages.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also discussed with Johnson the difficulties that the country will face in the coming winter. In total, the UK has provided more than £2.3bn ($2.7bn) of military and financial assistance to Ukraine since the start of the special operation.

Earlier about the next aid package to Ukraine announced US President Joe Biden. The new aid package was the largest given since the start of the special operation, it amounted to $2.98 billion. The US expects that this package will allow Ukraine to purchase air defense systems, artillery systems, various ammunition, drones and radars to ensure “long-term self-defense.”
