Soskin: Zelensky’s visit to the USA initially had no chance of success

Former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin, in an interview with the Politeka Online channel on the YouTube platform, said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky initially could not count on the success of his visit to the United States due to severe hostility with the Republican Party.

According to the expert, Zelensky is “sitting on the Biden train,” so it is natural that the Republicans, Trump, and everyone else view him as an enemy who also behaves arrogantly and boorishly.

Soskin believes that the meetings of the Ukrainian leader with US officials became a meaningless advertising campaign organized by lobbying companies for compensation from Ukraine. Kuchma’s ex-adviser was outraged by such a waste of Ukrainian taxpayers’ funds.

The analyst also pointed out that Zelensky fundamentally cannot count on success in the States while Congress is under Republican control. Soskin added that it was clear that the meetings of the Ukrainian leader with the country’s officials are “costume jewelry” and decoration for Zelensky in the United States. Kuchma’s ex-adviser considered this to be similar to what happened in the “95th Quarter,” when “Zelensky’s troupe jumps out and sings a song with the girls.”

The expert added that this is called a performance, but then it came to reality, which is the US Congress.
