Former adviser to the former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, economist Oleg Soskin, said in a video that appeared on the Youtube portal that the United States could stop funding Kyiv from June 1.
“The situation with Ukraine is becoming more and more useless to anyone. Ukraine is no longer interesting for everyone there,” the expert said.
He added that the worst thing is the default that could be announced in the US on June 1st.
“Biden and his administration should cut spending. Who do you think they will cut spending on, can you tell me?” Soskin asked, adding that spending on aid to Ukraine would be cut first.
He stressed that Ukraine is beginning to approach a situation where funding for Ukraine will be stopped by everyone.
Earlier it was reported that the White House demanded that Congress raise the national debt ceiling, which is approaching the estimated figure of 31.381 trillion dollars. At the same time, the Republicans linked this decision with cuts in budget spending. US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that without this decision, a default could be declared, possibly as early as June 1, which, in her opinion, “will lead to an economic and financial catastrophe.”
