Sony releases its gaming division’s fiscal 2022 report

For fiscal year 2022, Sony shipped 19.1 million PS5 consoles. This became known from report gaming division of the company.
The cumulative sales of the PS5 since the launch of the console in 2020 reached 38.4 million units, and in the first quarter of 2023, 6.3 million consoles were shipped. This is 4.3 million more than in the first quarter of 2022.
68 million games were sold compared to 70.5 million in the same period in 2022. Of these, 9.5 million games are Sony exclusives. 47.4 million users have an active PlayStation Plus subscription, and 108 million people use PSN services.
These figures allowed the division of Sony Gaming & Network Services to earn $ 7.9 billion for the financial year. Last fiscal year, revenue was $4.9 billion. The company plans to increase sales of peripherals and equipment and forecasts 7% revenue growth in 2023.
