The Japanese company Sony is testing the possibility of cloud streaming of video games for the PlayStation 5. This was stated by vice president and head of PS Plus Nick Maguire in an interview GamesIndustry.biz. He also confirmed that Sony has no intention of adding Sony-exclusive games to PS Plus at launch.
Cloud gaming will allow you to play PS5 games without downloading and installing. According to Mr. Maguire, the feature is still being tested and the company will talk about it in more detail later. It will be possible to launch games from the PS Plus catalog, as well as some other games that will support launching from the cloud.
The company reported that Union PS Now and PS Plus services in the summer of 2022 went well for her – the amount of time spent by gamers on the new service increased seven times, and over the year, four of the ten most popular games were projects from Sony.
Sony has no plans to launch PS Plus on PC yet, but does not rule out such a possibility in the future. Former company introduced A new accessory for the PlayStation 5 called Project Q, designed to stream games from a custom PS5.
