Sony introduced New accessories that let you play remotely on your PlayStation 5 console without connecting it to your TV include the PlayStation Portal Controller, Pulse Explore Headphones, and the Pulse Elite Headset. Sales of new accessories will begin in 2023. PlayStation Portal will cost $200 or €220, Pulse Explore is priced at $150 or €150, and Pulse Elite will hit the market for $200 or €220.
The PlayStation Portal controller is a DualSense wireless joystick with an integrated 8-inch 1080p display at 60fps and a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting wired headphones. The novelty connects to the PlayStation 5 via a wireless Wi-Fi connection and allows you to use the console without a TV or monitor. As a possible scenario for using the accessory, Sony cites the possibility of playing outside the room where the console is located, as well as using the TV to watch TV or movies at the same time when launching the game on the PlayStation Portal. It is stated that the accessory only supports games installed on the console – the PlayStation Plus Premium cloud service, as well as games with an augmented reality headset cannot be launched on a new device.
Together with the PlayStation Portal, it is proposed to use wireless headphones, available in two versions. Sony has released in-ear wireless Pulse Explore and full-size on-ear Pulse Explore with a retractable microphone and active noise cancellation.
