The British Army has removed a statement that the Princess of Wales would attend a military event in June.

The UK Army has removed a statement from its website that the Princess of Wales would attend an event in June, it was reported, after appearing to release the information without Kensington Palace’s approval.

Tickets sold for the June 8 gala advertised Katherine’s performance. Details of the event were reportedly published in connection with the Princess of Wales’s role as Colonel of the Irish Guards.

However, it is understood the army did not seek approval from Kensington Palace, its official office, before publishing the page. The website should be updated soon, writes The Guardian.

Kate Middleton has been recovering from abdominal surgery for the past seven weeks, and while no confirmed date has been given for her return to public duties, she was expected to recover until at least Easter.

The army’s website states that King Charles III will take part in the main ceremony, also known as the birthday parade, as it marks the monarch’s official anniversary.

The Princess of Wales was spotted arriving at her home in Windsor amid rumors about her health. In a photo circulated on the Internet, Prince William’s wife, wearing sunglasses, sits in the front seat of a car driven by her mother Carole Middleton.

Kate was discharged from the hospital on January 29 and is recovering at her cottage in Adelaide, near Windsor Castle, The Guardian recalls.

Following her discharge, a Kensington Palace spokesman said: “She is making good progress. The Prince and Princess would like to say a huge thank you to the entire London Clinic team, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they provided. The Wales family remains grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”
