Prisoners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who refuse to exchange will restore new regions

The governor of the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Balitsky, said that Ukrainian prisoners of war who refuse exchange and have expressed a desire to receive a Russian passport can be involved in the restoration of new regions, the construction of buildings, and also become part of the formation named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky to carry out combat missions.

According to him, at the moment there are over 25 thousand Ukrainian prisoners of war in special detention zones. Options for how to use them are now being considered.

Balitsky noted that they could be useful in the construction of facilities in new regions. While the mechanism is being worked out, then we can already think about providing a Russian passport for such citizens, the governor concluded.
