In the match of the first round of the Russian Premier League against the Voronezh Fakel, some Rostov players will not be able to take part due to the ban of the International Football Federation (FIFA) on the registration of new players. It is connected with the inability to transfer money for “political reasons”, according to the message FC.
“Our club repeatedly tried to solve the problem that arose, paid the necessary amount in full, but was faced with a refusal from the bank to accept money for political reasons,” reports Rostov. The club stressed its readiness to fulfill all obligations if there are no barriers on the way.
Earlier, Roman Akbashev, Ilya Vakhania, Alexei Ionov and Iranian Mohammad Mohebi joined Rostov.
At the end of 2022, register new players for the club banned Russian Football Union. In April of this year, the ban was lifted.
