The landfill for solid household waste caught fire in the Belgorod region after shelling from the territory of Ukraine, the region’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.
“As a result of the shelling of the city of Shebekino, a solid waste landfill caught fire. There were no casualties. Fire brigades are on site, extinguishing, ”he wrote.
Earlier on Saturday, the Belgorod region was repeatedly fired upon by the armed formations of Ukraine. In the morning, the village of Murom, Shebekinsky urban district, fell under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the roof of the warehouse of the agricultural enterprise was broken, and the power line was damaged. Under the shelling of Arkhangelsk, an unexploded shell hit a private residential building, then the ammunition was defused.
Shells from the Uragan rocket were found by employees of an agricultural enterprise during spring field work in a field near the village of Shamino and in a deep ravine between the Belgorod region and the Shebekinsky district. There were no casualties, the ammunition was defused by sappers.
