The Sochi hockey club won the second match in a row. In Yaroslavl, Dmitry Kokorev’s team were stronger than the local Lokomotiv.
The Sochi team, whose top scorer Matvey Michkov returned to the lineup, opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Jesse Graham scored. Lokomotiv had a lot of possession of the puck and attacked, forcing Leopards goalkeeper Mikhail Berdin to be constantly in the game. At the same time, Sochi confidently defended and successfully counterattacked – Artur Tyanulin scored in the 39th minute.
The Yaroslavl team threw in all their might to win back. The Leopards’ defense blocked 13 shots during the period, and Berdine worked wonders. Loko still hit the opposing goalkeeper 18 seconds before the siren, but this did not stop Sochi from winning 2:1.
Kokorev’s team won two victories in a row for the first time since the beginning of October. The team will play the next match in Podolsk against Vityaz on January 26 (0+).
