Sergei Sobyanin said that the repair of monumental houses will be simplified for residents of Moscow. He reported this in his blog.
“(Now) a major overhaul does not require any examination of the houses… Except for the very object of protection in this house… And everything else is like in an ordinary house,” the mayor said, commenting on the new federal law.
Sobyanin noted that the Moscow authorities are in favor of preserving cultural monuments, but this desire should not reach the point of absurdity. He added that in any residential building there are guarded objects like a cast-iron staircase, while the whole house cannot be considered a protected object.
