Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the improvement of public gardens in the north of Moscow would be completed by autumn.

Comprehensive improvement at thousands of facilities is carried out annually, the mayor said, saying that it is not only about large parks, but also about small squares.

“Green areas in the areas of Khovrino, Western and Eastern Degunino, Voikovsky and Koptevo will be put in order by autumn,” Sobyanin wrote in his Telegram channel.

“In 2005, the Church of the Sign of the Icon of the Mother of God in Khovrino was reconstructed, in 2017 the adjacent Grachevsky Park was landscaped, now the square near the temple is next in line. We will make four children’s and sports grounds in it, plant trees and shrubs,” Sobyanin said.

In the park on st. Bazovskaya in the Zapadnoye Degunino district, three playgrounds and several sports zones will be equipped, a basketball court will be repaired and walking routes will be updated.

There will also be landscaping of the park on the street. 800th Anniversary of Moscow in the Vostochnoye Degunino district, which is located next to the MCD-1 Beskudnikovo station. It is planned, among other things, to install a sports ground, make a quiet recreation area and several gaming complexes, Sobyanin said.

Within the boundaries of the Voikovsky and Koptevo districts, three squares continuing each other will be renovated.
