Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the approval of the planning project for the section of the Troitskaya line of the Moscow metro from Kommunarka to Kedrovaya.
“About 680,000 people live and work near the projected site. They will be able to save an average of 25-30 minutes on daily trips,” the head of the city wrote in his official Telegram channel.
According to him, the construction of four stations of the Troitskaya metro line is planned. One of them – “Kedrovaya” – will be underground, and the other three (“Desna”, “Letovo” and “Sosenki”) – ground. Sergei Sobyanin clarified that, as expected, the Troitskaya metro line will run from the MCC ZIL station to the city of Troitsk and “provide high-speed rail transport for residents of new Moscow territories.”
Earlier, Mr. Sobyanin said that in 2023 in Moscow planned open a metro station “Vnukovo” near the capital’s airport of the same name. The Moscow mayor did not name specific dates for the opening of this station of the Moscow metro.
