The Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow will be broadcast live in the metro, for the first time the parade will also be shown on screens in public transport, informed mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.
“On Victory Day, there will be a live broadcast of the parade on Red Square in carriages and passages between stations, for the first time the parade will be shown on screens in public transport,” Sobyanin wrote.
At the stations “Mayakovskaya” and “Kurskaya” installed “Walls of Memory” with the names of transport workers who “gave their lives for the victory” in the Great Patriotic War, passengers will be able to honor their memory, the head of the city added.
In addition, by May 9, the participants of the Music in the Metro project prepared a special program. In the metro on Victory Day, songs of the war years will be played: “Smuglyanka”, “Katyusha”, “Dark Night” and other compositions, Sobyanin added.
Tomorrow, May 9, the Victory Parade will take place on Red Square in Moscow. Due to preparations for the holiday, Red Square was closed to visitors from April 27 to May 10.
The Department of Transport of Moscow reported that on May 7 and 9, several metro stations in the center will be closed for exits. In the center of Moscow until May 10 there will also be unavailable the function of starting and ending the lease in car sharing services.
