On Monday, snow fell in the central regions of the Magadan region, and residents of the region are actively sharing videos about this phenomenon on social networks.
This was preceded by an emergency warning from rescuers about possible heavy rains in the area. Experts said that precipitation can lead to road erosion, therefore, they recommended residents to stay in settlements and not to travel outside them.
Snow in July in the Magadan region is an unusual phenomenon, but this year is different in that it fell after a long heat wave that lasted in the region and reached the forty degree mark. The representative of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia for the region confirmed that snow in the summer, including July, falls in the central regions of the Magadan region almost every year. This year, due to the abnormal heat, the temperature reached plus 37 degrees, but now it has dropped to almost zero values.
