Smolensk schools were quarantined

All secondary schools and institutions of additional education in Smolensk from December 7 were sent to a seven-day quarantine by the decision of the Smolensk administration.
According to the department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Smolensk region, the epidemiological threshold for influenza and SARS in the regional city has exceeded 143% since December. As a result, the department recommended the Smolensk City Hall to introduce a general quarantine.
A similar situation with the flu develops and in the Smolensk region, where the average epidemiological threshold is exceeded – 106%. Since December 1, 47 schools in the region have switched to distance learning, 21 schools have gone into full quarantine due to the large number of sick students and teachers.
Influenza A (H1N1) virus is spreading in the region. The incidence of influenza is exceeded in all age groups from 20% to 281%, the Rospotrebnadzor noted. About 44% of the population of the Smolensk region has been vaccinated.
