Smolensk hosted the Artistic Gymnastics City Cup

On the basis of the sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 4 in Smolensk, the traditional City Cup in artistic gymnastics was held. The tournament dedicated to the All-Russian Day of Gymnastics has been held for 40 years and is one of the most prestigious competitions for Smolensk gymnasts.
This year, more than 150 young athletes took part in the competition. After the Tokyo Olympics, where Russian gymnasts won Olympic medals, gymnastics in Smolensk is becoming increasingly popular.
Young Smolensk gymnasts, in addition to their main sport, also show good results in fulfilling the norms of the TRP complex. During the awards ceremony, along with medals, twenty gold badges of distinction “Ready for work and defense” were awarded to athletes who had previously passed the standards.
