Every sixth smoker in Russia prefers electronic cigarettes. The share of consumers of vapes and tobacco heating systems in 2023 reached 17.5%, as calculated by the FinExpertiza audit and consulting network based on Rosstat data. As a result, experts found 4.5 million users of electronic smoking devices. The figure grew by almost 4% over the year, and 46 times over five years. The most popular alternative nicotine systems turned out to be in the Magadan region, where they were chosen by 41% of all smokers, and in Moscow and the Astrakhan region – every third.
