The Opora Rossii business association, together with the Prosecutor General’s Office, prepared proposals to reduce the pressure on small businesses. Initiatives include changing the procedure for initiating anti-competition cases, raising the thresholds for major and extra-large damages, and reducing detention periods. The document with proposals (Vedomosti has it), signed by Opora President Alexander Kalinin, was sent to Justice Minister Konstantin Chuichenko and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. The initiatives were worked out jointly with the Prosecutor General’s Office: the list and wording were updated after the comments of the presidential administration, the letter says.
