LDPR Chairman Leonid Slutsky sent a letter to Russian Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev with a proposal to equip all airports in the Russian Federation with separate check-in counters for pregnant women, reports TASS. The letter is in the agency’s possession.

The letter says that the LDPR proposes to equip airports with special flight check-in counters for pregnant women, so that expectant mothers do not spend a long time in a standing position, which is not recommended by doctors due to poor circulation.

According to the head of the LDPR, currently in Russia there is no unified approach to organizing comfortable and safe travel at airports for pregnant women. Leonid Slutsky emphasized that pregnant women are the main link in improving the “demographic situation” in Russia.
