On Monday, October 17, the military exercises of the NATO nuclear deterrence forces “Strong Noon” will begin. This is reported by Sky News columnist Deborah Haynes.
As it became known to the channel, it was decided to announce the preparations for the start of the exercises in advance in order to reduce the risks of misunderstanding on the part of Russia. The exercise will involve 14 countries, up to 60 aircraft, including German and Belgian air force fighters that can carry B61 bombs.
American B52 bombers will also participate in the exercises. The main task of aviation is to test the ability to deliver nuclear strikes by the forces of the North Atlantic Alliance. Training flights will be carried out over Belgium, Great Britain and the North Sea, the NATO leadership informed.
