Skillbox, together with the VK team, conducted a study, the results of which show that almost half of Russians regularly use savings for unforeseen purposes. At the same time, 33% of respondents start saving their income for fear of losing their jobs.
According to a study (Kommersant has it), 41% of Russian citizens have savings. For 64% of respondents, savings give a sense of security and confidence in the future, 34% – an opportunity to make dreams come true. However, for 11% of Russians, saving is a habitual practice that they have adopted from their loved ones.
According to the report, every third Russian saves up to 5% of his income every month as savings. 27% of Russians have the opportunity to save 10% of their income, only 14% of respondents can afford to save a fifth of their income (20%). According to 42% of respondents, 500 thousand rubles. and above – a sufficient amount for savings.
Most often, Russians begin to save income for fear of unforeseen circumstances (54%). Another 33% of respondents cited the loss of a job as the reason for the formation of savings, 30% – the need for treatment. 26% consider it necessary to save money to go on a trip, 19% – to buy a home, 17% want to spend it on gifts for loved ones.
