Skillbox, together with the VK research team, conducted a study according to which every second Russian student experiences financial difficulties. At the same time, 32% of respondents try not to spend more than 10 thousand rubles. per month.
According to the results of the study (Kommersant has it), the main source of funds for 46% of students who study in Russia is the help of parents and relatives. 48% of the respondents face financial problems and only 15% of the respondents have enough scholarships.
Monthly expenses of 72% of students do not exceed 30 thousand rubles. 32% of the students surveyed try not to go beyond 10 thousand rubles. per month, and 14% – 20 thousand rubles. More than 40 thousand rubles. only 11% of students spend monthly.
The largest expenses are for food – 29%, housing – 20%, including renting an apartment and utility bills. Transport costs account for 18% of student income. It is noted that such expenses are more familiar to students who have moved to other cities for full-time education.
In addition, analysts have found that every tenth respondent goes to university or continues to study there in order to save a place in a hostel.
According to the results of the study, 65% of students support the distance learning format, which allows you to avoid moving. However, only 5% receive or plan to receive education in a distance format.
The total number of students in Russian universities at the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year, according to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, was about 4.22 million people.
