SKIF handball players will play at the tournament in Volgograd

Krasnodar SKIF will take part in the pre-season tournament in memory of Olympic handball champions Igor Vasilyev and Sergey Pogorelov. The tournament will be held in Volgograd on August 4-6.
In addition to SKIF, the local Kaustik, Voronezh and Astrakhan Dynamo will take part in the competition. Teams will play each other once.
– We did a very good job at the training camp. Many points have been corrected. We want to see how it will work directly in a game situation. The last days turned out to be crumpled, because our leader Savely Shalabanov was injured while at the disposal of the Russian team. The timing of his recovery is not yet clear. Have to readjust. Let’s see how the guys in Volgograd will be able to compensate for the lack of a leader at the expense of their own reserves, – said the general director and head coach of SKIF in an interview with the club press service Stepan Sidorchuk.
In the last Superleague SKIF took 7th place.
In Krasnodar on August 18-20 will pass tournament dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the women’s handball club “Kuban”, in which 4 clubs of the Superleague will play.
