SKIF handball players made it to the quarterfinals of the Country Cup

Krasnodar SKIF took part in the quarterfinal stage of the Russian Handball Cup among men’s teams. On February 5, in the home match of the 1/8 finals against Dynamo Astrakhan, Stepan Sidorchuk’s team achieved a victory with a score of 31:24.
The guests were ahead for most of the first half, but before the break, Krasnodar were able to seize the initiative and went to the locker room with the score 14:13 in their favor.
Until the middle of the second half, Dynamo was also in the lead, but then the hosts played well in defense, conceding only 1 goal in 13 minutes, and managed to achieve the final victory.
SKIF’s scoring leader was Ruslan Dashko, who scored 7 times. Danil Gunin scored another 6 goals, Viktor Dolinin hit the opponents’ goal 5 times. Krasnodar goalkeeper Vadim Kondratenko played successfully, reflecting 51 percent of shots (17 out of 33)
Albert Gumarov scored 5 goals for Dynamo.

The Krasnodar club will play its next match at home on February 12 as part of the Super League against the current Russian champion CSKA Moscow.
