SKIF captain will join the Russian handball team

Krasnodar SKIF point guard Saveliy Shalabanov has been called up to the Russian national handball team. In total, the coaching staff led by Velimir Petkovic invited 19 players to the national team.
The day before, Shalabanov, who is the captain of SKIF, helped his team win in the calendar match of the Super League, Omsk “Skif” with a score of 37:32. He scored 3 goals. Immediately after the match, Shalabanov went to the disposal of the Russian national team. Ex-SKIF handball players have been called up to it – goalkeeper Denis Zabolotin, who plays in Belarus, as well as field players of CSKA Moscow Sergei Ivanov and Yegor Kochura.
The Russian team will play 3 friendly matches in Belarus against the national team of this country. The matches will take place in Mogilev (November 1), Gomel (November 3) and Minsk (November 5).
Also, 4 players from the SKIF system were invited to the Russian youth team – left wing Ivan Osadchiy, right welterweight Alexey Gaintsev, left welterweight Danil Gunin and point guard Artur Prokopets.
Goalkeeper Rodion Roshchupkin, left winger Klim Kartashev and lineman Vladimir Utka have been called up to the Russian youth team.
