Ski Track of Russia-2023 was held in the Tula region

On February 11, the All-Russian mass ski race “Ski Track of Russia” was held at the ski-roller center “Vedenino”.
Competitions are held throughout the country, President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a welcome address to their participants. It says in particular:
“It is gratifying that this wonderful initiative, born more than forty years ago, has been embodied in a large-scale nationwide project. It is precisely these – perfectly organized, accessible to all events that bring together a huge number of participants – that are in demand at all times. They temper the character, promote the values of a healthy lifestyle, the upbringing of a harmonious personality. And of course, the Ski Track of Russia is a great opportunity to evaluate your strengths, compete with beginners and experienced professionals, and feel like part of a large, close-knit team.”
The race participants were greeted by the Minister of Sports of the Tula Region Dmitry Yakovlev.
“This bright winter holiday annually brings together fans of outdoor activities and skiing across the country. Every time there are more and more of us. It is important for us that the residents of the Tula region choose a healthy lifestyle. With the support of Governor Aleksey Dyumin, modern facilities are being created for this, such as this one – the Vedenino ski-roller center. I am sure that today each of you will be charged with a great mood. I wish you all good health, fast skiing and bright impressions,” said Dmitry Yakovlev.
The race is held within the framework of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”. Parallel starts were held in Novomoskovsk, Kireevsk and Uzlovaya. About 6,000 skiing enthusiasts took part in the competition.
The smallest skier is 2.5 years old, and the most experienced is 83.
Participants of the ski starts competed at distances of 1, 2, 3 and 5 km, a start of 600 meters was organized for children.
