Ski season opens in Perm forests

More than 180 km of professional and amateur ski routes of varying length and complexity are being developed in urban forests by sports organizations, the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Management of the Perm Administration said.
There are forest ski tracks in almost every area of the city. The most popular routes are 9 km long at the Dynamo ski base (Motovilikha district, Samarkandskaya street, 2), 5 and 3 km long routes in the Chernyaevsky forest near the Sports Complex named after. Sukharev (Industrial district, Kosmonavtov highway, 158a), 6.5 km track at the Elektron ski base (Industrial district, Energetikov street, 50a). On the territory of the Motovilikha forestry, ski slopes are being developed on the ecological trail “Linden Mountain”, near the sports complex “Perm Bears” (microdistrict Tsentralnaya Usadba, Sportivnaya Street, 1). In the Goly Mys microdistrict of the Sverdlovsk region, a ski track is being laid at the Zvezda ski base (Aprelskaya Street, 51). In the Levshinsky district forestry you can go skiing on the Botanicheskaya eco-trail and at the Proton sports complex.
In the Nizhne-Kurinsky district forestry there is a five-kilometer ski track in the village of New Crimea.
The shortest ski track is located in the Chernyaevsky forest, behind the Palace of Culture of Railwaymen, at the ski base of Perm State National Research University (1.5 km), and the longest – the 22-kilometer “Ski Track of Health” in the Motovilikha forestry – has been operating for 30 years, it is supervised by ski lovers from weekend club “Truckers”. This ski track starts at the Dynamo sports base. The route is very popular with professional marathon runners.
It should be noted that specialists from the Perm City Forestry carry out forestry activities, and professional sports organizations are involved in the construction of ski trails: representatives of societies, sports schools, ski resorts lay and roll ski tracks on the snow.
