On January 14, the ski-roller center “Vedenino” hosts the championship and championship of the Tula region in cross-country skiing.
Athletes who came to the start were greeted by the Minister of Sports of the Tula Region Dmitry Yakovlev.
He noted that thanks to the Governor Alexei Dyumin, a modern track with lighting and artificial snowmaking system has been created in the regional center.
This allows organizing comfortable conditions for training for pupils of sports schools, regardless of weather conditions.
Cross-country skiing is one of the most popular sports in our region. Today, guys who train hard and are ready to compete at the highest level competitions go to the start. I wish each of you to easily overcome distances, set personal records and please the coaches with the result,” said Dmitry Yakovlev.
About 250 skiers take part in the competition, who compete for medals at distances from 2.5 to 10 km.
