In the capital of the Kola Arctic, the first day of cross-country skiing competitions in memory of the Honored Worker of Physical Culture of Russia Timur Balanin ended on February 3, the Ministry of Sports of the Murmansk Region said.

Timur Pavlovich is also a repeated champion and medalist of the country among veterans. In addition, he took part in international competitions. He passed away on December 10, 2015, at the age of 86.
