SKA snatched victory from Sochi in the last match of the KHL, having won back three goals in 8 minutes

Petersburg SKA beat Sochi in overtime, having managed to fight off a three-goal gap in just eight minutes. The meeting ended with the score 6:5.
Petersburgers played the game away. In the 4th minute, the hosts opened the scoring – Kirill Petkov struck the SKA goal. The answer was not long in coming: soon the score was equalized by Nikita Gusev. But it was not possible to maintain equality for a long time: already a minute later Petkov again brought Sochi forward.
The next goal was scored by SKA forward Yevgeny Ketov. However, right after the brace was scored by Artur Tyanulin from Sochi, and later Timur Khafizov sent the puck into the goal of St. Petersburg.
Nevertheless, SKA managed to recoup. In the remaining eight minutes of the meeting, Dmitry Yashkin hit the Sochi gate twice, and Alexander Volkov led the team into overtime. The point in the game was put by Nikita Gusev, who got the victory for the Petersburgers in extra time.
This was SKA’s final match in the KHL regular season. The Petersburgers took first place in the Western Conference standings with 105 points in 68 games. “Sochi” is located on the last line. The team has 28 points in 66 matches.
