The St. Petersburg hockey club SKA sent letters to all clubs of the Continental Hockey League with a project for reform of the refereeing corps, the Championship reported.
The army team stated in the letter that the referee made huge mistakes in organizing the management of the entire department in the current championship. The league came to an unsportsmanlike result of the matches due to errors by the referees, the lack of clear explanations for ambiguous moments, and also the fact that the refereeing corps puts itself above the teams, SKA claims.
According to the project, an independent judicial committee will work under the leadership of the All-Russian College of Judges. The army also intends to create a working group on this issue.
Previously St. Petersburg club complained for the work of commentators and the KHL press service. The club sent a corresponding letter to the chairman of the board of directors and president of the league, Alexei Morozov.
