Rosrybolovstvo reported six Russian fishing vessels held in Norway
In Norway, six Russian fishing vessels are kept at shipyards, said the head of the Federal Agency for Fishery, Ilya Shestakov.
According to him, the restrictions that the Norwegians have imposed on the repair of Russian fishing vessels are illegal, now they are simply kept at the factories.
In a conversation during a meeting with the head of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis in Murmansk, Shestakov expressed the hope that in Norway “reason will prevail”, the ships will be repaired and still let go, otherwise “it turns out that this is just a seizure of property.”
In May, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry announced a ban on scheduled maintenance and repair of ships owned by Russia, with the exception of emergency repairs.
