Bauman, MAI, First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov, as well as the Russian National Research Medical University named after N. I. This decision was made by the Grants Council for the provision of state support for the creation and development of advanced engineering schools of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation based on the performance of universities in 2022.
In total, there are 30 higher educational institutions on the list of grant recipients, of which six are in Moscow. So, MIPT entered the first group of “winners” and will receive a grant in the amount of 514 million rubles, four universities – MISiS, D. I. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology, Moscow State Technical University. N. E. Bauman, as well as MAI – to the second group. And they will receive 348.221 million rubles each. The third group of grant recipients included two medical universities of the capital – the First Medical named after I.M. Sechenov and the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov. They will receive 182.440 million rubles each.
As noted in the Grants Council, compared to last year, this year the amount of funding for advanced engineering schools will increase four times. According to the Minister of Education and Science Valery Falkov, the distribution of grants among higher schools was influenced by the effectiveness of the implementation of development programs, the degree of integration of institutions into the agenda of enterprises in the real sector of the economy, as well as the extent to which universities implemented the recommendations of the previous council on attracting extrabudgetary funds.
“The broad membership of the council made it possible to obtain an unbiased assessment of the work of advanced engineering schools in the reporting period and to distribute grants objectively,” said Valery Falkov.
