Sister avenged her sister by killing the murderer’s brother

Two murders that took place in the village of Progress in the Amur region with an interval of three years stirred the hearts of all the villagers. A young girl, accidentally meeting a guy on the street, learned by his last name that he was the brother of a criminal who was guilty of the death of her sister. On the same day, she killed him, deciding in this way to take revenge. The details of the terrible story were found out by MK.

The other day, 21-year-old Alina from the village of Progress was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. As it turned out, the court mitigated the punishment for the murder (according to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for Art. 105 Part 2, she “shone” up to 15 years in prison), taking into account the tragic fate of the girl and her exemplary behavior before the crime.

The beginning of this criminal story was laid by the mother of Alina and her sister Evgenia, who was deprived of parental rights when the girls were very young. As a result, the sisters ended up in orphanages (they did not have a father). After graduation, they returned to their native village, Alina went to college to study as a seamstress and began to live with her grandmother, and her older sister Zhenya just worked part-time, rented a room, then gave birth to a daughter from a casual acquaintance. Raised her alone.

“As it turned out, Evgenia was addicted to substance abuse – she sniffed glue, solvents, etc.,” the state prosecutor, deputy prosecutor of Raychikhinsk, Amur Region, Igor Kolesnikov, told MK. – In 2019, she met 16-year-old Alexander Shevtsov. They began to cohabitate. The man did not like her addiction to substance abuse, many times he warned her and tried to wean her from a bad habit, but Evgenia did not stop. In October of the same year, she went to visit a friend who lived in a private house. The man rushed there and found his cohabitant doing her usual job – the woman was sitting with a bottle of solvent and sniffing. Then he pulled out the bottle, doused Evgenia and set it on fire. The fire started. The woman was taken to the hospital with thermal burns to her body, but died there. The owner of the house died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. Shevtsov, accused of the murder, was sentenced to 21 years and is now serving his sentence.”

After this tragedy, the two-year-old daughter of the deceased Eugenia was taken to her grandmother. Alina loved her sister and niece very much, she was very worried and could not come to terms with the death of Zhenya.

“This girl, as it became known, has been registered in a psychiatric hospital since the time of the orphanage,” continues Kolesnikov. “But I want to emphasize that she was sane.” Although there were some oddities behind the girl: according to her grandmother, Alina was very unsociable, often went into the courtyard of the house, where she could ride the swing for hours. Thus, allegedly, she calmed down.

On June 9, 2022, Alina also went into the yard. It was already night. The girl sat there almost until dawn, when Oleg Shevtsov passed by. That night, according to the prosecutor’s office, the guy drank with friends and returned home drunk. Noticing a lonely girl, he approached her, the young people started talking. He offered Alina a can of beer. During the conversation, Oleg gave his last name, which turned out to be the same as that of the killer Evgenia.

“The village in which they lived is not very big, everyone knows each other there, and the girl is like the brother of her sister’s killer,” continues the state prosecutor. – She said that she was the sister of the deceased Zhenya. He confirmed that, they say, yes – her brother killed her. But, according to the girl, Oleg was not at all impressed, and he even tried to look after her. But Alina was outraged by this.”

As the girl herself admitted during the investigation, she immediately decided to take revenge. She remembered that there was a kitchen knife in her bag (the day before, together with her grandmother and niece, they went to a picnic, where they ate and cut fruit, and the knife remained in the bag).

Alina invited the guy to take a walk, lured him to the area of ​​​​the nearest garages, where, taking advantage of the moment, stabbed him in the neck with a knife. When he fell, she ran away, throwing the knife into the bushes. Bleeding, Oleg was able to get up, reach the road, where he lost consciousness. Later, he was discovered by a local resident who delivered bread to shops in the morning. The 22-year-old boy died in the hospital from extensive blood loss.

“After what she did, Alina ran away, but then returned to the scene of the crime,” says Kolesnikov. – When I saw that Oleg was not there, I came home. On the same day (for what it was done – it is still not clear), the criminal on the camera of her mobile phone told about everything that she had done in all details, specifying that she had avenged her sister. And then she went to the police station herself.”

The court sentenced Alina to eight years and six months in prison in a penal colony.

“She underwent a psychiatric examination, but, despite the fact that the girl was registered in a mental hospital, she was recognized as sane and capable. During the investigation, it was also not confirmed that she had hatched some kind of revenge plan in advance. That is, I decided to take revenge spontaneously, – said Igor Kolesnikov. – I, as a public prosecutor, asked to give her a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 9 years (under this article, it can be up to 15 years). However, the court mitigated the punishment, taking into account the age, lack of a criminal record, state of health and all the circumstances, the “subtleties” of this crime. In my opinion, in this case, this is quite correct.
