Everyone managed to collect the most important things, save pets and quickly leave the dangerous place. Emergency workers helped people in wheelchairs and the elderly escape the burning building.
The house on Chernyakhovsky Street, 4 in Moscow, where the fire started, was previously famous as a prestigious place of residence for writers and poets. Built in 1957, it belongs to the housing cooperative “Moscow Writer”. At different times, many famous writers and artists lived here: Daria Dontsova, Alexey Arbuzov, Bella Akhmadulina, Lev Bezymensky, Tatyana Bek, Vladimir Vainshtok, Samuil Aleshin, Alexander Zarkhi, Lev Ginzburg, Alexander Galich.
