Singer Mikhail Reshetnyak, performing under the pseudonym “Misha Marvin,” told the details of a criminal story in which he was a victim. The scammers distracted the creative person’s attention with electronic curtains and smart home equipment and stole a large sum of money.
As MK learned, in September the musician found a rental ad he liked on the website. For a two-room apartment with a bedroom and a kitchen-living room in a residential building on Dmitrovsky Proezd, the owners wanted to receive 170 thousand rubles a month.
As the singer found out when he arrived at the apartment, such a high price was due to the excellent equipment. The furniture, lamps, furnishings – everything looked very modern. The musician especially liked the “smart home” system with remote control of lights and electronic curtains.
The singer was met by the owner of the apartment and his mother. The man explained that he is engaged in the manufacture of expensive stone sinks and countertops to order; on September 18, he and his mother are leaving and are ready to rent out the apartment – already ready for move-in.
To conclude an agreement, it was necessary to submit documents that the singer sent to the realtor who accompanied him when viewing the property. In response, he also sent his data and the data of the owner of the apartment. However, in the end, the singer was sent a rental agreement without the owner’s signature.
By this time, Reshetnyak had already managed to transfer the percentage to the realtor (85 thousand rubles) and a few days later – money for the first month of residence (170 thousand rubles). However, the artist was never able to move into the desired home: the fraudster did not give him the keys. After waiting for some time, the singer filed a statement with law enforcement agencies.
