The number of self-employed in Russia since the beginning of 2023 has increased by 23%, amounting to 8.06 million people in July. At the same time, taxes accrued to them and revenue over the past month have decreased, it follows from statistics Federal Tax Service (FTS).
In July, 4.99 billion rubles were credited to the self-employed. taxes. This is 125.6 million rubles. less accruals compared to June. For payments from individuals, there is a decrease by 136 million rubles, to 1.354 billion rubles. From legal entities, an increase in payments by 10.6 million rubles was recorded, up to 3.636 billion rubles.
The revenue of the self-employed in July decreased by 2.2 billion rubles. compared with the figure at the end of June and amounted to 108.72 billion rubles. Revenue from payments from legal entities increased by 320 million rubles, to approximately 68.85 billion rubles, from individuals decreased by 2.5 million rubles, to 39.87 billion rubles.
The most common industries among the self-employed since October 2020: repair services (576.3 thousand), trucking (483.6 thousand), IT (366.9 thousand) and beauty services (297.05 thousand). The largest number of self-employed – 1.416 million – is registered in Moscow. In the Moscow region – 572.36 thousand self-employed, in St. Petersburg – 525.8 thousand, in the Krasnodar Territory – 386.5 thousand.
A special tax regime for the self-employed has been in effect in Russia since January 1, 2019. Initially, it was introduced in an experimental format in several regions, from July 1, 2020 it was distributed throughout the country. The tax rate is 4% of income for individuals and 6% for legal entities.
