The editor-in-chief of Rossiya Segodnya and RT Margarita Simonyan filed a complaint against assistant deputy Nikolai Korolev under an article of libel. She’s talking about this reported in your Telegram channel.

“The earthly in me has won. I filed an application against some assistant of some deputy who filed an application against me. According to the article “Slander,” Simonyan wrote.

The journalist explained that she filed an application not only because Korolev filed an application against her, but also because he wrote that she “proposed a nuclear strike on the territory of the Russian Federation.”

“I, of course, did not and could not propose any such heresy. Such a monstrous accusation discredits my reputation and causes me all sorts of damage and suffering,” she added, threatening “the rest of the slanderers.”

Earlier, Simonyan, in her “CHTD” program, called for a thermonuclear explosion high in the sky over Siberia in order to disable enemy satellites, but not harm the country. According to her, this will be the key to resolving the conflict in Ukraine. Her words were criticized by some politicians.

Korolev, an assistant to Moscow City Duma deputy Evgeny Stupin (recognized as a foreign agent), said that Simonyan’s statements violate the legislation of the Russian Federation and are “wild and absurd.” “I sent appeals to the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a demand to analyze the citizen’s statements and, finally, to bring her to administrative or criminal liability,” – clarified Korolev in his Telegram channel.

The Kremlin also commented on the words of the editor-in-chief of Rossiya Segodnya and RT. Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted, that she does not work in official government bodies, so her words do not always reflect the official position. He emphasized that Russia has not left the nuclear testing regime, so such discussions are impossible from an official point of view.

At the same time, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov supported Simonyan. He called her a “true patriot” and noted that she was not so stupid as to propose striking nuclear weapons on her own territory. Kadyrov called “not to hype her statements.”
