Siluanov said that in 2023 the NWF was not replenished

The head of the Ministry of Finance, Anton Siluanov, said that since the beginning of this year, the National Wealth Fund (NWF) has not been replenished. His funds were used for various purposes. Mr. Siluanov added that the situation with the budget will normalize during this year.

“Of course, the prices for our energy resources have let us down a bit. We have budgeted prices for our oil at $70 per barrel. Now the price of Urals oil, taking into account all those discounts, restrictions, the growth of logistics, is lower. And due to this, we, of course, receive less oil and gas revenues. And that’s why if this year we planned to replenish the reserve National Wealth Fund, then this year we are not replenishing now, but taking a little bit, while the situation is like this, ”Anton Siluanov said in an interview with blogger Ksenia Paderina, it was broadcast on “In contact with”.

Mr. Siluanov added that inflation in Russia would be under control. According to his expectations, in the first half of the year it will decrease. The minister added that the situation with the federal budget would be normalized within a year.

Anton Siluanov added that in order to launch a program to subsidize mortgages in the annexed regions, it is necessary to create conditions for the construction of commercial housing there. According to him, there are funds in the budget to subsidize mortgages in these areas.

Yesterday, April 2, Anton Siluanov informedthat at the end of March, the revenue side of the federal budget was replenished by 2.5 trillion rubles. According to him, despite the difference in budget revenues and expenditures, the government will implement all the decisions planned for 2023.

In January, budget revenues lagged behind expenditures by 1.76 trillion rubles, and in February by 820 billion rubles. In January-February, the deficit reached 2.581 trillion rubles, which is 88% of the plan for 2023 (2.925 trillion rubles). Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin toldthat the budget deficit is fixed due to “advance financing”.
