Siluanov rejected the possibility of raising taxes

There is no talk of raising taxes now, the funds needed to finance new regions of Russia have already been included in the budget. This statement was made by the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

“There is no talk of raising taxes this year,” he stressed, answering a question about funds for the restoration and development of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions (quote according to TASS). Siluanov added that this money has already been taken into account in the budget.

During his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised build up a large-scale program for the restoration of new regions. In particular, it is planned to revive enterprises, ports of the Sea of ​​Azov and build new roads. According to him, all plans will be implemented “by joint efforts.”

The President said that one of the priorities for restoring peaceful life in the Donbass and New Russia would be the development of the cultural sphere. He added that for this it is necessary to repair “hundreds of cultural institutions, including museum funds and buildings.”

Earlier, Putin called for bringing the new regions of Russia to the all-Russian standard of living on the horizon of the current decade. head of state instructed the government during the first quarter of 2023 to prepare a development program. He clarified that social security standards, a maternity capital program and an increase in pensions will appear in the regions.
