Significant competitions of horses of the Bashkir breed will be held in Bashkiria

The equestrian tournament “Terra Bashkiria” has opened at the Akbuzat hippodrome.

So, from July to September, it is planned to hold eight stages according to the Olympic system, where horses of the Bashkir breed and their jockeys will fight for the title of champion. Also, within the framework of “Terra of Bashkiria”, race and trotting horses will compete for traditional and nominal prizes. By the way, the total prize fund of the tournament is ten million rubles.

“The Terra Bashkiria equestrian tournament has been held since 2019 to stimulate the development of breeding horse breeding and equestrian sports in the region,” said Ruslan Fayzullin, director of Akbuzat.

According to Mr. Fayzullin, at the final eighth stage of the tournament, scheduled for September 10, in addition to the races among the winners of the qualifying rounds, there will be competitions for the prize of the head of Bashkiria. They will be held with the participation of horses of thoroughbred riding breeds born in our region.

“Also at this stage, the international championship of jockeys and riders of the countries of the Mediterranean and Black Seas and the friendly championship of riders between Malta and Russia will be held,” added Ruslan Rafisovich.

The distance of the race among horses of the Bashkir breed is 2400 meters, and horses with a horse passport of the Bashkir breed or, in its absence, admitted by the expert commission to participate in races with entering the horses of the Bashkir breed in the database are allowed to participate in the tournament.

– For horses, a prerequisite for participation in the races is compliance with all veterinary requirements – these are documents on vaccination and chipping, as well as the age from 3 to 15 years, – explained Ruslan Fayzullin.

It should be noted that in addition to the main goal of this competition, the organizers are promoting the idea of ​​using the Bashkir breed of horses in sports horse breeding.

– Another, no less important goal of this equestrian festival is the active involvement of the population of Bashkiria in the popularization of equestrian tournaments and increasing spectator attention to such competitions, – said the director of the Akbuzat hippodrome. – Also, such tournaments help to distract young people from the harmful influence of the street and aggressive Internet technologies through personal participation in the races.

Next to the equestrian competitions, children’s playgrounds, a themed photo zone with stylish decorations, an entertainment program with the participation of famous creative teams, folk craft stations with bright original master classes and a food court area will be organized for guests.

The organizers of the tournament “Terra Bashkiria” are the government of Bashkiria, the regional Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the Bashkir Competence Center for horse breeding and equestrian sport “Akbuzat”.

Recall that recently the head of the Republic of Belarus Radiy Khabirov signed a decree on the establishment of a research institute for the study of horses of the Bashkir breed “Bashkir horse”. Scientists believe that serious and systematic scientific work is needed: it is necessary to study the DNA of the Bashkir horse and compile a breeding registry in order to save the brand of the republic.

Ruslan Fayzullin, director of the Akbuzat hippodrome, calls the equestrian tournament for Bashkir horses one of the ways to revive the legendary Bashkir horse.
