Sidyakin allowed the United Russia congress to be held at the forum-exhibition at VDNKh

Deputy Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Alexander Sidyakin said that the December party congress could be held at the Russia exhibition and forum at VDNKh. It was previously reported that President Vladimir Putin will visit the exhibition.

“To hold the December congress of the United Russia party, the site of the forum-exhibition “Russia” at VDNKh in Moscow is being considered,” Mr. Sidyakin said in a conversation with TASS.

Last week, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov reportedthat Vladimir Putin will not come to the opening of the Russia exhibition-forum on November 4, but will visit it at another time.

The international exhibition and forum “Russia” was established by a decree of Vladimir Putin on March 29. The exhibition will present the main achievements of the Russian Federation in various sectors of the economy. The exhibition will run until April 12, 2024.

Russian presidential elections are due to take place in mid-March 2024. It is expected that the Federation Council will set the election date in December – no earlier than 100 and no later than 90 days in advance. After this, parties must hold pre-election congresses and nominate candidates.
