Shoigu: the military repulsed 263 attempts to attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the start of the counteroffensive

The Russian servicemen have repelled 263 attempts to attack the APU on the positions of the Russian army since the beginning of the counteroffensive on June 4, the enemy did not achieve his goals. About it informed Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a meeting of the board of the military department.

“Since June 4, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched 263 attacks on the positions of Russian troops. Thanks to the competent and selfless actions of our units, all of them were repulsed, the enemy did not achieve their goals, ”he said.

Shoigu also said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to attempt an offensive in the Yuzhnodonetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions, using a large number of Western weapons. Elite formations that were trained by NATO specialists also take part in these attacks.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been conducting offensive operations since June 4. On June 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had definitely begun, but the Ukrainian army was not able to achieve its goals in any sector. June 16 during the plenary session SPIEF Putin said that the loss of the Armed Forces ten times exceed Russian.

According to the Ministry of Defense, as of June 14, since the beginning of offensive operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost 7500 people killed and wounded. On June 13, at a meeting with military officers, Putin said that starting from June 4, Kyiv could lose up to 30% of the equipment delivered from abroad in an attempt to “large-scale” counteroffensive. According to him, since that moment the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 160 tanks and 360 armored vehicles.
