Shoigu presented state awards to the military at the headquarters of the United Group of Forces

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited the headquarters of the Joint Group of Forces. The minister presented state awards to military personnel who “distinguished themselves in performing combat missions,” reported press service of the department.

The military received the Order of Courage and medals “For Courage.” Mr. Shoigu also congratulated them on Defender of the Fatherland Day and stated that “they are fighting with dignity.” Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov took part in the ceremony together with the minister.

Yesterday, February 22, the Minister of Defense handed over “Gold Star” medals to participants of the military operation in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Defense, the medals were awarded for courage and heroism in accordance with the presidential decree.

February 21 Vladimir Putin I arrived to the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region, where he presented state awards to military units of the Russian Aerospace Forces. In his congratulations today on February 23, Mr. Putin statedthat defense industry enterprises have multiplied the supply of “in-demand weapons” to the troops, and promised to continue strengthening the armed forces, taking into account combat experience.
