Shoigu instructed to quickly and comprehensively give clarifications to the military registration and enlistment offices on delays

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu instructed to bring “comprehensive explanations” on the procedure for granting deferrals to the military registration and enlistment offices and draft commissions as soon as possible. The Minister’s order was given to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Explanations prepared by the General Staff as informs the press service of the Ministry of Defense, relate to:
- full-time and part-time students who receive higher or secondary specialized education for the first time.
The clarifications also apply to citizens working:
- in organizations of the military-industrial complex;
- in “accredited organizations in the field of information technology”;
- in “organizations to ensure the stability, security and integrity of the functioning of individual communication facilities”;
- in “backbone organizations in the field of information and communications, in the media, on broadcast channels and radio channels”;
- in organizations “ensuring the stability of the national payment system and financial market infrastructure, bank liquidity management, cash circulation.”
Partial mobilization has been carried out in Russia since September 21. On that day, Mr. Shoigu said that it was planned to call up 300,000 reservists as part of the mobilization campaign. October 4 he informedthat over 200 thousand people were called up in two weeks of mobilization.
