Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu handed over a sword to the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-un, during a visit to the Primorsky Territory. It is made by hand using valuable wood and precious stones, said Oleg Trubin, director of the Zlatoust arms factory (Chelyabinsk region).
The leader of the DPRK visited our country last week for the first time since 2019. It was reported that the extensive program of negotiations included an exchange of gifts.
According to the director of the arms factory, the gift to the leader of the DPRK is a classic Russian sword, modeled after the 18th century. Manufacturing, according to Trubin, took place over six months according to a special order from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The sword is decorated with miniatures from Russian epics about heroes on horseback and inlaid with jewelry stones.
